Hi, I am Jessica, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM), licensed acupuncturist, and herbalist in central Virginia, working with people of all ages to find the right tools to bring balance back into individuals' lives.

I've chosen a career in Chinese Medicine as I appreciate its naturalist philosophy, its  exploration of the complexity and multi-dimensionality of nature, our inseparability from our environment, its body-mind-spirit medicine, and of course its phenomenal orthopedic results.

I bring aspects of the 5 different channel systems to the table to see what supports you the most (more on what exactly the 5 channel systems are coming soon).

In addition to Chinese Medicine, I appreciate Daoist philosophy and lifestyle practices, Qi Gong, western herbs, traditional/ancestral foods, and cleansing/detox.

Education & Training:

  • Doctor (& Master's) of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts

    • Student of living master, Jeffrey Yuen

  • Certified in Dry Needling (Trigger point needling)

  • Licensed in VA & NC

  • Biomedicine training (Yes, I understand Western Medicine)

  • Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, NCCAOM Dipl.OM.

  • Certificate in Western Herbal Medicine, Sacred Plant Traditions

What I Can Offer You

01

Personalized Treatments - I Care

I understand that you are unique and there is no one-size fits all.

I like to see you as you are and hear what you need. I bring you the best of my clinical mind and my empathetic care to truly create a healing presence.

We can talk musculoskeletal pain and physiology as well as emotional patterns, & personal evolution.

The sky is the limit! I feel good when you feel good.

It is my passion to serve you on your health journey.

Whole-istic Approach

I consider the *whole* you, addressing not only physical symptoms but also the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of health and what may be hiding under the surface.

Why haven‘t other treatments worked?

Why does this pattern always return?

I love adapting to your changing needs and digging deeper, understanding that we are dynamic. Here is where we may utilize the Extraordinary Vessels and go deeper than TCM's primary meridians so we can tap into who you really are.

Proven Results

Chinese Medicine has a long history of success (over 3,000 years!) in promoting health, healing, and supporting personal evolution.

Many clients have experienced positive outcomes from working with me.

Check out my testimonials page! Unsure of if I may be able to help you, too? Please contact me and I am happy to discuss what you are experiencing.

What We Treat

Acupuncture has been used for over 3,000 years in China to treat a wide range of injuries and illnesses. Acupuncture’s safety, low cost, and lack of side effects make it a reasonable option for most conditions. You never know til you try!

What do you have to lose? What do you have to gain?

My favorite thing about acupuncture is that it works WITH the body, not against it!

Check out some findings from Evidence Based Acupuncture if scientific studies are what you are looking for.
