What to Expect

The intake process includes a comprehensive patient review, designed to understand your unique health patterns and specific needs. Whether you’re experiencing chronic issues or temporary discomfort, I will create a treatment plan made just for you, adapting the appropriate philosophies of both ancient and modern medicine principles to bring you well-rounded options for healing.

Chinese Medicine recognizes medicine as individualistic, therefore your treatment will likely be different from others you may know.   Treatment methods/styles will often change as your condition and needs change.

How you feel with treatment also tends to change.  Sometimes you might leave feeling more awake and energized; other times you might feel relaxed and tired.  You may notice results when you leave, or it may take until you wake up the next morning to notice that your knee doesn't hurt anymore, your sinuses are less congested, etc.

As for the frequency of treatment, it is common to do more frequent sessions at the beginning, such as 1-2x/week, then reduce to every other week or once a month as goals are achieved.  It is common to use acupuncture and herbs for maintenance even if there are no obvious ailments.
